Steve Cartwight (1996: 4), an American video-maker, has devised what he terms the '70-30-10 rule': * "As a general rule... we often devote as much as 70% of our time to the pre-production process and 30% to post-production with the remaining 10% (if you work at 110% as I do) devoted to the actual shooting. The percentages should tell you where the real work and sucess of the programme lie. It's not in the 10%.
