Bio

Josh Lomen

Josh is an International award winning photographer currently based in the United Kingdom. He is a graduate from Photography and visual cultures, BA (Hons) degree at the University centre Weston in Somerset, graduating with a 1st class honors degree,

Josh has been lucky enough to have had his work published in multiple publications such as the "Nikon Photo Mag", the "Amateur Photographer Mag" and most recently his work has been published in the annual "Prix de la photographie Paris photo award" annual awards book with the Image "Not all who wander are lost" receiving a judges honourable mention award. And to top all of this off he has even had the honour of selling his work to the Tate's curator of photography for her archive.  

His aim as a visual artist is to document and show us the changes of the environments that we call home.

THE SOMERSET WILLOW FARMERS

The Somerset Willow Farmers is a documentary project that explores the day to day working lives of the traditional willow farmers at Musgrove Willows. The aim of this project is to highlight the traditional craft that Somerset is known for as well as preserve the craft through the use of Imagery.

My latest body of work titled "Sémaphore" is a series which depicts the changes and connections between a living and decaying environment.

 

Streets And Stories

This series titled “Streets and stories” explores the identity of urbanised streets around Europe by looking at sticker placements within the streets.
