Faye Phoyography
Hi I’m a year 3 BA Hons degree photography university student based in Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset. I am an aspiring wildlife documentarian, hoping to pursue a career in wildlife photojournalism and videography.
Here are some examples of my work…
These photographs are from my newest work called “Our impact”. The project is about endangered species and humans overall impact on their survival. This project consists of a series of three portraits containing masks of endangered animals. I have chosen this project idea to create a fantasy-like effect using special effects make-up, because I hope this will make people want to do something about the issues facing our animals species.
As a child I would always see adverts on the TV by WWF, where they would ask you to adopt an animal that was endangered, critically endangered or vulnerable for £3 a month and you get cuddly toy. I remember always asking my mum if I could adopt a tiger. My Final Major Project took inspiration from WWF’s adverts and how the work they do to help endangered species.
