About Me
I am Dan Cornelius, currently studying BA Film and Media Production at UCW (University Centre Weston). I began first taking interest in media around 2022-23, where I took on TV, Film and Creative Production at Level 3. I developed further into the industry, taking editing as a hobby where I then began to upload my work online.
I love taking on challenges in the industry and what creative thinking I can provide to fulfil the best of my abilites.

My Films + Projects
Everyday Activity - The Magic of a Cup of Tea
The first project was a brief to produce a short film around an ‘Everyday Activity’. I decided on making/drinking a cup of tea. Instead of keeping it as basic as that, I thought I’d make it a bit more unique, which I then thought of the idea to make the tea seem precious and some sort of reward after a long day.
Documentary Production - Super-mare chips showdown
A Documentary film for the second brief of the first year. I based mine on reviewing chips in my local seaside town Weston, crowning just one winner for the best chip shop in the area.
RESIDENTIAL FILM PROJECT: barrow curse
Here’s our first group project, named Barrow Curse. It was originally meant to be filmed in Cologne, Germany, but because of lack of people/crew wanting to attend, we decided to keep it local around Weston.
The storyline is about 3 people on a hike to explore what locals have said to be dangerous and what’s called a myth. There was once a unidentified creature who would take out campers one by one never seeing the light of day once again.
I was at first the editor of the film, but due to interruptions in my personal life, I chose to be the Sound Assistant, Background Actor, and Runner for production.
EXPERIMENTAL MEDIA ARTS PROJECT
A short film that I created for my experimental module. This film experiments with how to achieve visual effects without using digital elements.
