SUPERMENSCH: THE LEGEND OF SHEP GORDON

Dir: Mike Myers, 2013, 84 mins, USA, Cert: TBC

Tue 22 July, 8:00 PM Tickets: £5/4 (advance tickets available)

Supermensch explores the world of Hollywood insider, Shep Gordon. Falling into music management by chance after moving to LA and befriending Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix, arch hedonist Shep was soon managing rock stars (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper), producing films (They Live), dating actresses (Sharon Stone) and inadvertently creating the concept of the celebrity chef.

Stuffed with incredible archive footage and searing anecdotes, Mike Myers’ (Wayne’s World, Austin Powers) directorial début is a warm and funny portrait of a man who has more than a few stories to tell about the nature of fame.
