I am reading a book about colour in film. The book is called ' If it's purple someone is going to die' and it is written by Patti Bellantoni. Bellantoni is a lecturer at a university in America and he talks about giving his students lessons where they have to feel colour and live a certain colour of their choice. The book then goes on to analaysing different films and why certain colours are used such as red to represent danger but adding orange tones to that red then makes it a representation of lust. I reccomend this book as I have learned a lot so far from it and it makes you really think about movies that you have already seen or may watch.
