UCW Photography Award

WANT TO ENTER NEXT YEARS UCW PHOTO AWARD?

This award is open to all ages and abilities with separate categories aimed at schools, colleges/sixth forms and an open call for everybody else. Theme to be announced in October 2023, Stay tuned.

Selected photographs will be professionally printed and displayed as part of a curated exhibition. Last year’s exhibition was held at the Tropicana in Weston-Super-Mare (home to 'Sea Monster' and Banksy's 'Dismaland').

We will be open for entries for next years competition in October 2023, if you would like to discuss getting involved please email richard.edkins@weston.ac.uk

Key Dates

  • Late October 2023 - Opening for submissions

  • December 8, 2023 - Earlybird Deadline

  • January 26, 2024 - Regular Deadline

  • February 23, 2024- Notification Date

  • Late March 204 - Exhibition - date & venue tbc

This Photography Award is organised by second year students from UCW’s Photography and Visual Cultures (BA Hons) at University Centre Weston. For more details about our courses please visit website via link below.
