ev.owa.jpg

LIGHTSTREAM For their 15th edition, Animated Exeter aims to transform one of Exeter’s key streets with animations, projections and lighting over two magical evenings.

Bafta award-winning artist and filmmaker, Tal Rosner, will lead a spectacular variety of projections and illuminations on Exeter’s Fore Street.

Students are invited to attend a two-day workshop in November in Exeter with Tal Rosner, Richard Milner, and Kari Nygaard. This will inspire exchange of ideas with other courses, learn about public performance, skills of large and small-scale projection, audience expectation and to test out ideas.

Tal is taking inspiration from pioneer filmmaker and animator, Norman McLaren and suggest students find inspiration through looking at the films of Norman McLaren. 2014 is the centenary of McLaren and also a focus on Canadian animation for Animated Exeter 2014.
