Clive Hughes

In his early career, Clive worked as a studio engineer at a large residential studio near London, whose clients included Elvis Costello, Simple Minds, Marillion, Jimmy Page, The Pet Shop Boys, Dire Straits, Status Quo and Mick Jagger. He also worked in the live music industry with Prince, Joan Armatrading, Earth, Wind and Fire and Paul Brady as both production assistant and guitar technician. Subsequently, he spent 10 years at Weston College teaching on the BTEC Music Technology course and as course leader for the BA (Hons) in Creative Music Technology, run in partnership with Bath Spa University. He has also worked for over 30 years as a freelance guitar teacher and more recently as a multimedia composer for Back to the Planet - an ethical video production company specialising in natural history films.
