Winners were announced on Wednesday 29th March 2023, 6pm at Tropicana

Exhibition will also be open Thursday 30th and Friday 31st March 10am - 10pm at Tropicana, Marine Parade, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1BE. With all nominated work on display.

Connections UCW Photo Award will be running alongside UCW Creative Arts Showcase including live music, dance, musical theatre, art, animation, photography, and film.

Join us at our Creative Arts Degree Showcase, to celebrate the innovative and inspiring work our students are creating. Throughout the day, you can see displays of work by our Art & Design, Graphic Design, Games & Animation, Photography, and Film & Media students in our Tropicana Gallery!

Submissions are now closed

This award is designed to challenge your photographic skill and to explore the theme Connections. You can enter any photo that says something about connection - whether this be mental, physical or metaphorical, the choice is yours. This award is open to all ages and abilities with separate categories aimed at schools, colleges/sixth forms and an open call for everybody else.

Selected photographs will be professionally printed and displayed as part of a curated exhibition at the Tropicana in Weston-Super-Mare (home to 'Sea Monster' and Banksy's 'Dismaland').
